Nine Eleven. American Tragedy.

Like a few other world-changing events, 9/11 is one which always begs the question, “what were you doing then?” I was down at the Houston Chronicle waiting to get my truck unloaded. I was driving for Arnold Transport hauling news print paper from the Lufkin mill. On that morning some guy who was in a sleeper truck had a small tv. He heard the news and dialed it in. A dozen drivers tried to cram into his cab to see what was going on.

The weirdest part of my day was heading home. Going through Humble on US 59 I was amazed and a bit freaked out at how empty the sky was. George H.W. Bush airport usually had dozens of planes landing at any one time. The sky is usually filled with them. But not that day. It was down right weird.

Like everyone else around the world on that day I watched as things unfolded and video was repeated over and over on news channels. The frenzy was insane. Everybody was speculating on what the hell was really going on. So was I.

What I say next will make you think I wear tin foil hats to bed. I don’t. I believe in logic and in what I see before me, not what I’m told to see. There is no fucking way those buildings came down because of planes hitting them. They were demolished by explosives. Building Seven didn’t even get hit and it came down the same way. I called bullshit on the official story from the very first.

Now you’re next smartass remark: “you think the government did it.” No, I don’t. The two players I am sure of are Dick Cheney and Jeb Bush. Beyond that, not sure. George W. Bush was not part of it though I think he knew something about it . There’s no doubt the events in the air was legit. Those guys were terrorists who were also Saudis and who were put into the mix by Saudi Arabia.

The Pentagon was NOT hit by an airliner. It was most likely hit by a small jet. I do not believe an airplane crashed in Pennsylvania but that is not so important. By the end of that day a massive coverup was underway and the truth disappeared into basements and warehouses somewhere.

There have been lots of movies and shows and books and whatever explaining this stuff. There have been plenty of half-assed “debunkings” too. None of that changes the reality. America and the world changed for the worst on that day. Nothing will ever be the same.

So much has been said that there’s nothing I can add other than my view of this situation. This is my view. Take it as you will. The sacrifice of all those people is very sad. Many brave fire fighters and first responders deserve more thanks than they got. We deserve the truth, too, but that is never going to happen. Things are what they are.

That’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it.

Have a nice day.
